Introduced as the successor to the Knucklehead, the Panhead represented a major leap forward for Harley-Davidson engineering.

Available in 61 cu in (≈1000 cc) and 74 cu in (≈1207 cc) displacements, it powered Harley-Davidson’s most iconic touring models — the Hydra-Glide, Duo-Glide, and early Electra-Glide.
