1928 JH F-Head — Harley-Davidson Engine Print
This handmade drawing depicts Harley-Davidson’s 1928 61″ JH F-Head engine — the final evolution of the company’s long-running inlet-over-exhaust design. With a displacement of 61 cubic inches (≈1000 cc), the JH represented the peak of the F-Head era, combining years of refinement in valve control, lubrication, and ignition. Powerful, dependable, and well-proven, the 1928 JH delivered strong torque and endurance that made it a favorite among riders and racers alike. It was the last of Harley-Davidson’s classic IOE twins before the revolutionary side-valve (Flathead) design arrived in 1929 — closing nearly two decades of engineering evolution that built the brand’s reputation for toughness and reliability.
Each print is part of a collector’s series celebrating Harley-Davidson engines across more than a century of history. Perfect for enthusiasts, workshops, or anyone who values vintage engineering and design.
