Is it legal?
I wanted to share a quick update with you on a topic that’s important to me – copyright.
It’s hard to find good legal advice on copyright, but some rules are very clear:
- A copyright protects the original work of authorship.
- The author has the exclusive right to make copies of the work, sell copies, publish the work, and perform the work publicly.
- The copyright protection lasts for the life of the author plus 70 years.
- Copyright law varies by country, so it’s important to consult with a lawyer to find out your specific rights.
Please remember that although our work is inspired by incredible motorcycles mainly made by Harley-Davidson®, Inc. it is NOT officially licensed by them nor endorsed, recommended or commissioned.
We were in touch with some companies directly asking if publishing and selling our graphics infringe their copyrights and what you see in Billy Cune Art portfolio is verified and legal. If you want to find out more, please go to the Copyright section.
Keep on rocking!
